Description

Mauricio Suzuki (b. 1988) is a Brazilian figurative painter whose work bridges the language of
classical painting with contemporary culture. He explores themes of identity, perception and the
human condition, using traditional craftsmanship to examine the psychological and social
complexities of modern life.
Before dedicating himself to painting, Suzuki spent 15 years working internationally in automotive
design after graduating in Product Design from FAAP (São Paulo). In 2020, he transitioned to fine
art, developing his practice through an intensive independent study of the Old Masters and the
techniques of classical painting.
Despite his relatively recent career, Suzuki’s work has received national and international
recognition. His paintings have been acquired by the Piracicaba Museum and exhibited at the
MEAM – European Museum of Modern Art, the Real Circle Artístic de Barcelona, and the
Auditorium of Arroyomolinos in Madrid.
