Anna Wypych

Anna Wypych (b. 1986, Poland) is an award-winning figurative painter whose work combines classical technique with psychological depth and contemporary realism. She explores themes of identity, inner strength, and the human condition through luminous oil portraits.
Wypych has received international acclaim, winning Best of Show and Pioneer in Realism at the International Guild of Realism (2020), and the Purchase Award at the 14th International ARC Salon (2019), hosted by the Art Renewal Center. Her works are held in the permanent collections of the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, the Muskegon Museum of Art (USA), the National Museum in Gdańsk, and both the Museum of the City of Gdańsk and Museum of the City of Gdynia in Poland.
She has exhibited in numerous juried shows and was a finalist in prestigious competitions such as the Art Renewal Center Salon, Figurativas, Modportrait, and the BP Portrait Award. Her artwork has been featured on the cover of The Guide Artists (10/2025) and International Artist magazine (12/2020), and has been published in American Art Collector, PoetsArtists, Revista Ophelia, Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, Klassik Magazine, and Hyperrealism Magazine.
Her paintings are also included in prominent private and institutional collections, including The Bennett Collection, The Basil Alkazzi & Halima Nalecz Purchase Foundation, the Marie Marek Pienkowski Foundation, and the Art Foundation of Ergo Hestia Group.
Wypych lives and works in Gdynia, Poland, where she continues to create art rooted in introspection and observation, combining traditional craft with a contemporary approach to psychological portraiture and redefining realism for today’s world.
