Tanya Atanasova
Tanya Atanasova, born in 1978 in Pirdop, Bulgaria, is a contemporary realist artist based in Antwerp, Belgium. Known for her striking, large-scale portraits, Tanya creates works that capture both the visible and emotional depths of her subjects, inviting viewers into moments of shared human experience.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts from the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she graduated with distinction, and further refined her craft through studies at Sint-Lucas Art Academy in Ghent, Belgium. Over her career, Tanya has participated in numerous exhibitions across Europe and North America, including shows at the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern (Barcelona).
Her work is included in the Lunar Codex collection, destined for preservation on the Moon. Tanya’s paintings have been featured in international art publications such as Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, and Hyperrealism Magazine.
In 2020, she founded the FiKVA Foundation. Tanya continues to work from her Antwerp studio, contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape of one of Europe’s artistic capitals.
